ZweigWhite extends 2011 Best Firms To Work For rankings submission deadline

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. — ZweigWhite has extended the deadline for the 2011 Best Firms To Work For rankings, the industry’s search for the most exceptional practices in HR management and off-the-charts employee satisfaction in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, multidiscipline A/E services, and environmental services firms, to Friday, May 6.

Best Firms To Work For applicant firms are evaluated against other firms that apply, so you can be assured that in this tough economy your fellow applicants are facing many of the same challenges as your firm.

To apply for the ranking, U.S. or Canadian firms must demonstrate that they are an outstanding employer through their compensation, benefits, training and development, and work environment by satisfying requirements in the Corporate Survey. Once completed, to continue eligibility, a minimum percentage of employees are required to complete the Employee Survey, a confidential opportunity for employees to reflect on their perception of their work environment. After completing the process, employers will receive a summary report of their employee’s responses to the Employee Survey. Whether firms make the list or not, they will receive this free report.

Firms will be recognized for their HR excellence in the following divisions: Best Civil Engineering Firms To Work For, Best Structural Engineering Firms To Work For, Best Architecture Firms To Work For, Best Multidiscipline A/E Services Firms To Work For, and Best Environmental Services Firms To Work For. This year’s winners will be announced and highlighted at the Best Firms To Work For Summit and featured in the October issues of CE News and Structural Engineering & Design magazines. The 2011 Best Firms To Work For Summit will be held Sept. 28-30 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

Last year, Best Firms To Work For top spots were awarded to Delta Airport Consultants Inc., for civil engineering; Forell/Elsesser Inc., for structural engineering; TowerPinkster, for architecture; Hankins and Anderson Inc., for multidiscipline A/E services; and All4 Inc., for environmental services.
