Woolpert to acquire Bohannan Huston’s Dallas operations

DAYTON, OHIO — Woolpert has signed a letter of intent to acquire Bohannan Huston’s Dallas operations by early February. Bohannan Huston is a spatial data, mapping, civil engineering, and advanced engineering technology services firm headquartered in New Mexico. Woolpert, a design, engineering, and geospatial firm headquartered in Dayton and celebrating its 100th year in business, employs approximately 650 professionals throughout its 22 offices.

“Of our 650 employees, 250 are geospatial professionals, making us one of the largest surveying and mapping operations in the U.S.,” said Jeff Lovin, Woolpert senior vice president and director of geospatial services. “We are very excited to continue our growth within the geospatial group and establish our footprint in the Texas market.”

Woolpert now will be able to provide Texas clients with robust geospatial services spanning geodetic and engineering surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing, aerial and ground-based light detection, and ranging (LiDAR) laser scanning, GIS and land information system (LIS) data, and spatial database development.

“Bohannan Huston’s expertise in the Dallas office will be a great complement to the already diverse services Woolpert offers its clients,” said Mike Flannery, Woolpert president and CEO. “Both firms, as well as our clients, have benefitted from a mutually successful partnership over the years, and we look forward to continuing strategic partnerships with Bohannan Huston for years to come.”
