OLATHE, KAN. — Terracon Consultants, Inc. acquired IHI Environmental, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 1980, IHI Environmental provides industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and environmental consulting services to public and private sector clients across the western U.S. IHI Environmental has additional office locations in Emeryville, Calif.; Denver; Phoenix; and Seattle.

“Joining with IHI Environmental adds depth to our expertise and enhances our current service offerings,” said David Gaboury, P.E., president and CEO of Terracon. “They are real experts in their field, with particular expertise in industrial hygiene. As an example of our expanded capabilities, we now have a strong combined group of 23 Certified Industrial Hygienists across the country to serve our local and national clients.”

Terracon is retaining IHI Environmental’s staff of 75 employees. IHI Environmental will continue operating under the same name.
