RBF Consulting chooses Reno for sixteenth office location

IRVINE, CALIF. — RBF Consulting has selected Reno, Nev. as the site of the company’s newest office location in response to its expanding business opportunities in Nevada. According to RBF’s top management officials, the Reno office is an integral part of RBF’s business planning objectives to better serve the growing need for environmental and regulatory services in the Nevada region.

With the firm’s current Nevada office in Las Vegas, the new location is an ideal complement to support ongoing activities from local bases across the state, the company said. The office will also serve to strengthen RBF’s community ties in the Reno/Tahoe region. RBF is currently serving multiple clients with active projects located in the Lake Tahoe Basin and Reno area.

This office will be led by Mark Johnson, senior vice president. Johnson has spent his 23- year career at RBF, and is primarily responsible for projects in the areas of water resources, transportation and land development.

Kevin Roukey, new RBF senior associate and senior environmental manager, will be based full time out of the Reno office. Roukey has over 35 years of experience with the Army Corps of Engineers, and for the past six years served as chief of the Reno Regulatory Field Office.

Dr. Steve Weber will also provide support to the Reno market. Weber is a nationally recognized watershed/lake management expert and serves as a board of trustees member of the Desert Research Institute Foundation.

The firm said these experts are key to RBF’s commitment to successfully address the challenges of its clients and fulfill the company’s mission of sustaining the future.

For 2012, increased stability is expected, although large changes don't seem likely.
