WASHINGTON, D.C. — Representatives of the nation’s leading producers of water and wastewater technologies will convene in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Nov. 12-14, 2009, at the 101st Annual Meeting of the Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA). The theme of this year’s meeting is Looking Beyond the Stimulus: Life After ARRA for Water Infrastructure.

Speakers from all sectors of industry will offer their perspectives on the current economic conditions affecting water infrastructure spending and the outlook for growth in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater sectors. Speakers include:

• Dick Champion, director of the Independence (Mo.) Water Pollution Control Department

Attendees will also take part in roundtable discussions to share ideas and experiences on a host of pertinent topics on the minds of today’s water and wastewater professionals, including trends in e-business social media; what is green and what does it mean; creative ways to cut costs… not heads; and adoption of new technologies.
