Penn State offers stormwater management short course

STATE COLLEGE, PA. — Pennsylvania State University offers a short course on Computational Methods in Stormwater Management, May 30 through June 1, 2012, at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, Pa. Topics presented in this short course represent a comprehensive array of hydrologic and hydraulic tools for stormwater management design, detention facility design, and subdivision planning.

The Virginia Tech/Penn State Urban Hydrology Model (VT/PSUHM) will be used to illustrate how these tools can assist in the design of stormwater management facilities. New this year, participants must bring a laptop computer to this short course. The user must have administrative rights to the computer so that the VT/PSUHM software can be installed. Attendees may rent a laptop during the three-day course for $255. Rented laptops can be shared with a colleague.
