Parsons appoints new executive director, Middle East and North Africa 

PASADENA, CALIF. — Parsons announced the appointment of Hamed I. Zaghw as executive director of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.

Zaghw has more than 25 years of project management experience in transportation, structural, and highway projects. He joined Parsons in 1990 as part of the Abu Dhabi Transportation & Roads Improvement Program. He has since held a succession of positions with increasing responsibilities, including project manager, office manager, senior vice president, and sector manager for the Middle East for the Road & Highway Division; manager for the Road & Highway Division based in Washington, D.C.; and most recently as division manager, MENA/Mediterranean, for the corporation's transportation group.

Zaghw is a registered professional engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Cairo University and a master's degree in structural engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He will be based in Parsons' regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Parsons has been working in the MENA+ region for more than 40 years and has offices in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Rome, Istanbul, and Athens. Parsons' portfolio of ongoing projects in the MENA+ region includes major highways, bridges, rail and transit, airports, ports, water infrastructure, plus hospitals, public schools, universities, mosques, and other public buildings.
