Onyx/G&O joint venture awarded USACE Europe District contract

LAUREL, MD. — The Onyx Group/Greenhorne & O’Mara (G&O) joint venture has been awarded a 5-year, $12-million Indefinite Delivery contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Europe District. The projects will be located throughout the EUCOM Area of Operations — composed of regions including Europe, the Middle East, West Asia, Africa, and the former Soviet States — at any Army, Air Force, or other U.S. Government agency installation, or wherever U.S. troops may be deployed.

This contract will employ Architect-Engineer (A-E) services to prepare installation and facility master plans, related concept designs, complete designs, and supporting documentation. The Onyx/G&O joint venture will provide management support services for projects assigned to USACE, Europe District, that include labor, management, facilities, supplies, equipment, and materials.

“This is a great win for the [joint venture], and continues to strengthen our relationship with the Corps and our goals for geographic expansion. We are thrilled to be working on a contract that will provide our service members and their families with facilities that improve their quality of life and support their military mission,” said John Voycik, AICP, PMP, principal of the joint venture team.

The joint venture of Onyx and G&O was formed to bring together base and installation master planning and military program support for Army, Navy, and Air Force clients, worldwide. The firms combined have access to nearly 700 architectural, engineering, planning, and related professionals, with more than 50 professionals devoted exclusively to planning and programming support for DoD clients.
