Olsson Associates, a national engineering and design firm, has acquired Scott Consulting Engineers, a Springfield, Mo. engineering consulting firm.

Scott officially joined Olsson Associates on June 28, 2010, and became “Scott Consulting Engineers, a division of Olsson Associates.” Scott staff members will remain in their current office, 550 St. Louis Street, and Olsson staff will move into Scott’s building later this year.

“We are excited about the opportunity to join Olsson and what it will mean for our clients and for our staff,” said Dick Scott, owner and founder of Scott Consulting Engineers. “We’ll have the additional staff and resources we need to grow and provide quality services to our clients.”

“Scott’s staff will enhance the services we already provide our clients,” said Kevin Lowe, Olsson’s Springfield office leader. “They have strong expertise in water/wastewater and municipal services, which complements the land development and transportation services we provide from our Springfield office.”

No financial terms of the deal will be released.
