NAVFAC Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center established

NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY, PORT HUENEME, CALIF. — The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) was established in a ceremony that joined two Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) specialty centers. The Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center (NAVFAC ELC) and Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NAVFAC ESC) consolidated to provide a single touch point responsible for all NAVFAC engineering and expeditionary specialty center functions under one command.

"The consolidation is intended to reduce overhead costs to free up resources needed to sustain our nation's force structure, create future combat capabilities, and improve our mission support to our supported commanders," said NAVFAC EXWC Commanding Officer Capt. Brant D. Pickrell.

NAVFAC EXWC delivers specialized engineering and technology solutions that support sustainable facilities and provides logistics and expeditionary systems support for Navy combat force capabilities.
