Optech, Inc., announced that its first Innovative Lidar Solutions Conference (ILSC) will be held in Toronto on June 24-26, 2009. The company issued an initial call for papers.

Lidar data is widening its role in applications ranging from remote sensing to emergency services management and homeland security. The ILSC 2009 will focus on an open forum for industry professionals to discuss best practices and explore lidar solutions. Topics of special interest will include how to use lidar hardware systems to maximize accuracy, improve efficiency, and solve unique application challenges. There will also be a special focus on the implementation of Optech’s various lidar sensors for application solutions.

Both users and potential users of Optech technologies are welcome to submit papers or to attend to learn more about the role of lidar in solving surveying needs. More information is available online at www.optech.ca/events.htm.
