Infiltrator Systems agrees to acquire Advanced Drainage Systems’ septic chamber assets

OLD SAYBROOK, CONN. — Infiltrator Systems Inc. has agreed to acquire the assets of the septic chamber business of Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS) and its subsidiaries. The transaction is expected to be completed within the next several months, subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Infiltrator’s current wastewater product offerings include septic chambers, septic tanks, synthetic aggregate leachfields, risers, and Aquaworx products. The ADS chamber product line is comprised of a family of onsite wastewater infiltration chambers that includes the Arc and BioDiffuser lines of chambers. As part of the acquisition, ADS, based in Hilliard, Ohio, has entered into a long-term, non-exclusive distribution agreement with Infiltrator Systems and will continue to market and sell the Arc and BioDiffuser product lines.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand our product offering to the marketplace,” said Roy Moore, president and CEO of Infiltrator Systems. “Customers will continue to receive a broad array of products that best suit their needs as well as ISI’s high quality support and individualized service. We also believe this addition will lead to more efficient manufacturing operations, allowing us to be even more competitive with alternative solutions in the marketplace.”

“The agreement allows ADS to continue to compete vigorously for septic leachfield product sales by distributing Arc and BioDiffuser products manufactured by ISI as well as ADS’s other septic leachfield products,” said Joe Chlapaty, chairman and CEO of ADS. We feel this agreement best addresses the ever evolving needs of our customers and employees.”
