Gannett Fleming opens Memphis office 

 Memphis, Tenn. — Gannett Fleming opened a new office in the city of Memphis, Tenn., effective as of July 2011. To complement its 16 offices in the firm’s Southeast region, Gannett Fleming opened this office to support the newly awarded city of Memphis Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Year 3 Coordinated Traffic Signal Project, as well as better support the state’s infrastructure initiatives. Through the CMAQ project, the city of Memphis will interconnect and coordinate 84 traffic signals along 16 key city corridors.

Michael F. Rebick, P.E., M.S., a new member of the Gannett Fleming team with eight years of experience, is serving as the project manager. Jason J. Ellerbee, ITS construction manager, who brings 19 years of experience to this position, is serving as manager of the new office.

In addition to the CMAQ Year 3 Coordinated Traffic Signal Project, Gannett Fleming has played a lead role on two other major infrastructure projects in the state of Tennessee. Gannett Fleming is currently providing integration services on the multi-year Chattanooga Smartway Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Integration Project, as well as providing LOCATE/IM services on a statewide basis for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. LOCATE/IM is a hosted Web-based automatic vehicle location and computer-aided dispatch system developed specifically for incident management.
