Environmental Connection 2010 registration now open

DENVER — The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) opened registration for its annual conference and expo, Environmental Connection 2010 (EC10), to be held Feb. 16-20 in Dallas. Visit IECA’s website, www.ieca.org, for details on full-day courses, field tours, special events and the exhibit hall. The complete listing of shorter technical sessions will be available later this fall.

Education remains the cornerstone of Environmental Connection. Each year, hundreds of industry professionals are educated through the full-day, intensive training courses and shorter technical sessions which consist of case studies, research papers, forums and workshops. Topics range from construction site BMP selection, installation and maintenance to low impact development to streambank and wetland restoration.

Some of the new full-day courses featured at EC10 include:

  • Innovative Erosion and Sediment Control Design with Ted Sherrod, P.E., CPESC, CPSWQ;
  • Design, Installation and Maintenance Manual for Gabion Structures with Mark Wayne, Ph.D., P.E., and Sherri Dunlap, DEng, MBA, CPESC;
