DENVER — The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) opened registration for its annual conference and expo, Environmental Connection 2010 (EC10), to be held Feb. 16-20 in Dallas. Education remains the cornerstone of Environmental Connection. Each year, hundreds of industry professionals are educated through the full-day, intensive training courses and shorter technical sessions which consist of case studies, research papers, forums and workshops. Topics range from construction site BMP selection, installation and maintenance to low impact development to streambank and wetland restoration.
Some of the new full-day courses featured at EC10 include:
- Innovative Erosion and Sediment Control Design with Ted Sherrod, P.E., CPESC, CPSWQ;
- Design, Installation and Maintenance Manual for Gabion Structures with Mark Wayne, Ph.D., P.E., and Sherri Dunlap, DEng, MBA, CPESC;
- How to Control Turbidity on Construction Sites with Richard McLaughlin, Ph.D., and Melanie McCaleb, CPESC; and
- Post Construction Programs and Performing Inspections for MS4s with Shirley Morrow, CPESC, CISEC.
The expo, Feb. 17-19, 2010, will showcase the latest in erosion, sediment control, and stormwater products and technology.
