Conference explores IT management issues 

AEC Technology Strategies 2010 Conference is the eleventh annual information technology conference for business and IT leaders in architecture, engineering, and construction. The event’s focus is “Tactics for Adapting Today, Strategies for Thriving Tomorrow.” The program is organized around today’s most critical issues in the four areas of responsibility for IT management including AEC Design Systems, AEC Business Systems, IT Infrastructure for the AEC Business, and The Role of the AEC IT Leader.

Scheduled for May 20-21 at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, the event, presented by Stagnito Media, offers keynote sessions including:

  • Technology: A Strategy For All Seasons, by Raul Cruz, senior vice president & chief information officer, AECOM;
  • Demystifying the Cloud: Virtualization, BIM and the AEC Industry, by Chris France, CIO, Little;
  • Technology and New Project Delivery Models: Team Perspectives, a panel presentation by Samir Emdanat, director, Virtual Design & Construction, GHAFARI Associates, and John Moebes, AIA NCARB, director of construction, Crate&Barrel; and

Civil engineering industry outlook - Part 1
