While the economy is putting increasing pressure on firms, it’s important to recognize the Best Firms To Work For program’s philosophy: a great firm to work for is one that deals with good times and bad with strong leadership, communication, and thoughtfulness. The evaluation process considers the current economy’s effect of firms. What’s more, the ranking compares only those firms that apply against each other; so in tough times, the pool of applicants will include firms that have suffered hardships. Yet they can still be Best Firm To Work For if they handle difficult decisions well and continue to be an employee-focused firm.
