CRYSTAL LAKE, ILL. — Baxter & Woodman Inc. Consulting Engineers was recently named one of the Top 50 trenchless technology design firms in the country. Trenchless Technology magazine ranked Baxter & Woodman number 33 on its listing of leaders in the trenchless technology field based on results from an annual survey for 2012. Survey criteria included statistics on overall billings, trenchless billings, number of trenchless professionals and total number of completed projects.

Baxter & Woodman has completed more than 300 Trenchless Technology projects during the last five years. Trenchless technology methods minimize the need to dig trenches, tear up pavement and disturb utilities when making infrastructure repairs or replacements. Trenchless projects can offer a cost-saving and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional open-cut methods. A project’s carbon footprint can be reduced by as much as 85 percent, promoting sustainability and preserving the environment while improving infrastructure systems.
