 Geopolymer pipe lining
GeoTree Technologies Inc. formed a strategic partnership with trenchless contractor IPR to introduce IPR EcoCast, a geopolymer liner system to address the increasing demand for eco-friendly trenchless infrastructure rehabilitation products. GeoSpray, a high-performance nano-scaled geopolymer mortar that is specially designed for spray or spincast applications, is the primary material used in the EcoCast system. According to GeoTree, GeoSpray has built-in resistance to extreme hot or cold weather conditions during application and both high early strength and substantial long-term strength gain.

 Punch list tablet app
Newforma, a project information management (PIM) software company, announced the commercial release of Newforma Punch List, a tablet app that works regardless of the availability of Internet access on the jobsite. When a connection is available, the app syncs wirelessly with Newforma Project Center to ensure access to the latest drawings, datasheets, and other related project information. The app eliminates the need to juggle drawings, a notebook, and a digital camera, and to manually update hardcopy punch lists.

 Water tank mixing
The SolarBee Spray Nozzle THM Removal System for medium and small tanks is effective at removing all four types of regulated trihalomethanes, the company said, to help municipalities with limited budgets comply with the EPA Stage 2 DBPR (Disinfectants and Disinfection By-Products Rule). The entire spray nozzle THM removal system is portable and pre-packaged for end-user or contractor installation, with minimal permanent infrastructure changes. It includes the spray nozzle assembly, tank-mixing system, submersible pump, piping, and tank adapter.

 Wastewater flow meters
Westfall Manufacturing Company offers a line of corrosion-resistant venturi flow meters as large as 10 feet in diameter for measuring the rate of flow at all types of water treatment plants. Westfall 2350 Series Venturi Flow Meters are made from fiberglass reinforced 10090 vinyl ester resin and have a stainless steel throat liner and flange. According to the company, they are capable of metering up to 50 million gallons per day flow.

 Software developer rebrands
XP Software, a developer of water collection system modeling software, announced the evolution of its global brand to XP Solutions. In March 2008, XP Software was joined by Micro Drainage, the United Kingdom-based developer of the drainage design suite, WinDes. With capabilities beyond just water collection software, XP Software and Micro Drainage are now rebranding to XP Solutions. XP Solution's flagship products are XPSWMM and XPSTORM.

 Stormwater chambers
CULTEC Inc. introduced the Recharger 150XLHD stormwater detention/retention chamber. The new model replaces the company's 150HD unit and features a bare chamber storage capacity of 27.16 cubic feet/unit and a minimum installed storage of 50.17 cubic feet/unit, an increase of more than 37 percent compared with the previous design. The Recharger 150XLHD is 18.5 inches tall, 33 inches wide, and 11 feet long, and according to CULTEC, is ideal for installations with depth restrictions or when a larger infiltrative area is required.
